Cody Hodgson was without a point in his first 10 games as a Sabre.
He now has 2 goals and 2 assists in his last two games as a Sabre.
With the Sabres having 8 games left and the team needing to get 2 more points than the Washington Capitals over those final 8 games, it's nice to see Hodgson starting to contribute offensively.
The next week is going to be really interesting. Tonight, the Sabres are in NY to play the Rangers. Tomorrow night, they host the Minnesota Wild that are pretty much playing out the string as they are 13 points out of 8th place in the West. Tuesday is the big show down against the Capitals in DC. And a week from tonight they host arguably the hottest team in the NHL in the Pittsburgh Penguins.
To get six or more points in this four game stretch, the Sabres are going to need everyone on the roster, except for maybe Jhonas Enroth, to pull their weight. And then some.
But, this team is playing well with only 2 regulation losses in their last 16 games played.
Are you ready to believe?
