The bandwagon is getting lighter

Perhaps this Tweet typo from the Sabres.com twitter feed is a sign of things to come.

Or the fact that Cody McCormick is the guy that is getting called up in the event that Matt Ellis can't go after getting blown up by Johnny Boychuk has people down.

On the bright side, at least there is practice ice in Western NY!

Seriously though, I'm not THAT worried.

Sure, the guys that Lindy will run out on the top two lines tonight have combined to produce 1 goal and 3 assists so far this series.

Sure, the Sabres powerplay is 0 for 12 this series.

But two out of the three games in this series have been the really tight, low scoring, one goal games that I've expected.

And even Game 3 was a one goal game before the empty netter for the Bruins.

But the Sabres can win this series. Even without Vanek, they can win by only scoring 2 or 3 goals per game. This team has enough talent to score 2 or 3 a game against this Boston team.

They just need Tim Connolly to end his 20 playoff game goalless drought.

They need their PP to show some signs of life.

They need their best forwards to be their best forwards.

Will it be easy? Heck, no.

But this team does have the players to win 3 out of the next 4. They just need to bare down and get the job done.
